Dietetic service

Within the clinic at Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham (QEHB), there is access to specialist HIV Dietitians who are available to discuss any nutrition-related query you have.  They are registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), and are members of the British Dietetic Association (BDA) and Dietitians in HIV and AIDS Association (DHIVA). The advice provided is tailored to your own needs.

Having HIV should not mean making too many changes to your diet. As long as you consume a healthy, balanced diet, you should be able to get all of the vitamins, minerals and energy you need to maintain your weight and nutrition.
